For week 3 of Hoodoo Heritage Month, (With her permission) let me introduce you to Mama "EYE". Originally from New Orleans, Mama "Eye" was sold to a plantation in Georgia, where she spent her entire life rebelling and fighting for Black liberation. Coming from a strong line of voodoo women, she used her gifts for healing, guidance, and empowerment. Her essence illustrated how often people confuse hoodoo for voodoo or vice versa.
