Researchers have used artificial intelligence, high-energy X-ray imaging, and mechanical engineering to reconstruct the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient Greek analogue computer. The mechanism, discovered in a shipwreck in 1900, was used to predict eclipses, track celestial cycles, and display planetary positions. The reconstruction reveals that ancient Greek engineers possessed advanced knowledge of precision gearing and astronomical modelling.
