557 The Church Under Attack

31 Oct 2025

An American missionary, Kevin Ryout, was abducted in Nigeria, highlighting the escalating violence against Christians in the country. Open Doors US reports that extremist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP, as well as Fulani extremists, are responsible for the attacks, which include murder, church burnings, and kidnappings. The organisation emphasises the importance of prayer and tangible support for persecuted Christians, encouraging participation in the National Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
