Do You Niddah Play Ping-Pong? (Halacha Shiur)

Welcome to what I believe is my first nigleh shiur on this status! Is it permissible for a husband and wife to play ping pong while they are observing the Niddah harchakos? We serve many sources, going back and forth between the takes of rishonim and acharonim. A lot of top spin-off questions too. After everything is brought to the table we try to find a winning conclusion. Enjoy!

Likutei Torah Shir Hashirim 2:4

Likutei Torah Shir Hashirim 2:2-4

Welcome back to another shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week, we discuss an avoda’dike application of the pasuk Shir Hashirim. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (ponder the connection that we all have to each other, how it affects our davening, and how whether we reach up to connect or Hashem reaches down, the connection is something for us and Hashem to) enjoy!

Likutei Torah Shir Hashirim 2:1-2

Welcome back to another shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week, we discuss the phrase “for your beloved is more goodly than wine”; what the pasuk is referring to with “wine”, and “your beloved”, and their contrast. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (know that the ultimate level to be achieved is a relationship with Hashem alone, and nothing else; but at the same time, in all of the ways we connect to him, there’s always something for us to) enjoy!

Likutei Torah Shir Hashirim 1:4-2:1

Welcome back to another shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week*, we discuss the contrast of the two levels of Hashem being a chassan, and how that relates to the divine revelation at different levels. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (appreciate that Hashem invested himself in the Torah that we learn down here in a way that we can actually) enjoy! *Last week, I forgot to press upload on this shiur last week

Likutei Torah Shir Hashirim 1:3-4

Welcome back to another shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week, we discuss what makes Shir Hashirim the song “of songs”, and how the bride and groom unite. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (consider how the only way to bridge the gap between the infinite and this distinctly self-centered world is in the same way that a song is formed, blending motifs and varying notes until, by the time it resolves, we’re left with something we can) enjoy!

Likutei Torah, Shir Hashirim 1:2-3

Welcome back to another shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week, we discuss the aspect of Hashem being the “groom” of the Jews, i.e how he descends to reach us at our level. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (marvel at how Atzmus Umehus descends somehow until we have our physical plane, upon which we can comprehend divine wisdom enough to) enjoy!

Likutei Torah Shir HaShirim 1:1-2

Welcome to a shiur in Shir Hashirim of Likutei Torah! This week, we discuss how the congregation of the Jews is the “bride” of Hashem, i.e the two levels of love that cause us to year for him both irrationally and rationally. So grab a Likutei Torah, sit back, and (contemplate how, notwithstanding Hashem’s utter unity in every fibre of possibility, he still desires a world down here in which we can have our own sense of self, enabling us to both have a relationship with him and still) enjoy!
