SENSITIVITY and CONSCIOUSNESS (tw)

Let us look at consciousness not as something we decide with—but something we see from. In this episode, we draw a crucial distinction between consciousness and conscience—between awareness itself and the impulse to judge, analyze, discern, and decide. We are gonna slow everything down and return to the place before meaning, before hierarchy, before right and wrong. This is an episode about seeing before dissecting. Perceiving before directing. Sensing before deciding. We examine how our culture overvalues logic, productivity, and discernment—often at the expense of our ability to feel, imagine, and stay present. When there’s too much pressure to interpret, perform, or be correct, we lose access to sensation itself. We become disoriented. Senseless. Ashamed. And shame, as we explore here, is not just emotional pain—it is corrosive to consciousness. It erodes our will to live, our capacity for joy, our ability to be seen or to see clearly. It turns life-affirming experiences into punishment and teaches us—quietly, relentlessly—that our very existence is a problem. In contrast, pure consciousness is shameless. Not un-shamed. Not defiant. Simply without shame. Sensitive people, by nature, are often oriented toward this state—bold, expressive, curious, emotionally alive—not because they’re rebellious, but because they don’t instinctively perceive what they’re “supposed” to be embarrassed by. This episode reframes sensitivity, imagination, vulnerability, and softness as legitimate modes of knowing—facets of consciousness experiencing itself. We talk about: Consciousness vs. conscience (and why confusing them costs us our vitality) How shame pollutes perception and fragments the relationship between instinct and action Why meaning is a filter—and how filters bias what we see Shameless living as a return to life’s natural momentum Reclaiming what you’ve been shamed out of: joy, curiosity, play, sensuality, emotion, imagination Why validating your subjective experience isn’t about “truth,” but about legitimizing your own awareness At its core, this episode is an invitation to stay close to the unpolluted wellspring—to sense from where life actually begins. To stop pre-emptively apologizing for existing. To let “I’d rather be dead than this” soften into “I’d rather live.” Because consciousness has only one orientation: toward life. SENSITIVITY and IMAGINATION

Sensitivity & Imagination explores imagination as the fertile ground where identity, meaning, and transformation begin. In this episode, we examine sensitivity as a domain of perception, vulnerability, and energy—where possibilities remain fluid before they harden into fixed forms. Imagination is not an escape from reality, but the bridge between inner experience and lived life: the space where meaning is shaped, tested, softened, and released. We look at how identity forms through perception, how unprocessed experiences loop until they are acknowledged, and how discernment emerges through expanded awareness rather than judgment. By learning to work with imagination as a soft-form space, we gain more freedom in how we relate to pain, creativity, responsibility, and choice. This episode invites you to live through sensitivity rather than in opposition to it—using imagination as a tool for integration, embodiment, and deeper engagement with reality.

SENSITIVITY and RAPTURE

SENSITIVITY and RUPTURE

The finale of season one is upon us and in it we discuss rupture: Energy, generated. Energy that wants to go somewhere. Energy that HAS to go somewhere. Our emotions are energy and this energy informs our behaviours. This energy underlies confusion, misunderstanding, ill-timed and ill-expressed behaviours as well as fuels transformation. What we do with it matters. It is worth experiencing because “only by experiencing a thing can we make sense of it.” Now we have explored the stereotype and we are done discussing it – and also done living it (and thank God because I am over it. In the previous episode, we begin to play with the idea of our self-image and sense of self, what undermines it and how we can build it into a space where the stereotype is a non-issue. SENSITIVITY and GLORIFICATION

I open the episode referring to the third episode about’ erecting a monument to our feelings’… this episode does not exist. It was removed because I raaaambled the most ramble I’ve ever rambled and never got to the point. Don’t worry, I discuss it in depth enough in this episode. This episode and the next "SENSITIVITY and A SENSE OF SELF" were recorded as one so this one is deeply discussing our sense of self, how to build it, and how this glorification or preservation of our emotional states undermines our self. In the last episode, I discussed how holding grudges has served a purpose. In this one, I clarify how it holds us back and how through processing our experiences, the emotion(al experience) “integrates into our being and this emotion or experience gets better gets more beautiful, more useful and easier to carry.” Recorded April 28, 2024.
