The essential law of moral physics is at work. You cannot say "Let's be private," toward children online, when no one in their land of models is prepared to support them with a clear example or enforceable privacy protections in their interests.
US Congress now seeks to advance online protections for children under 15 years of age with parents, families, law enforcement and technology companies using social media platforms. It is time to get together to defend privacy, but definitely time to defend child privacy despite a pile of obstructions and corrupting influences against the public interests.
The good news: parents and children are winning. So demand whatever you need from your legislators right now on terms of protecting your kids in the online privacy environment.
