“The One True God” introduces the Christian doctrine of God as revealed in Holy Scripture and summarized in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds. Human reason can recognize that God is one, but knowledge of God’s Triune life depends on divine revelation. Christianity confesses one God in three distinct, coequal, and coeternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
