Little Critter: Just a Little Sick

Little Critter: Just a Little Sick by Mercer Mayer is a My First I Can Read book where Little Critter stays home from school with a minor illness. Expecting a fun day off, he instead endures a boring day of resting, breakfast in bed, a trip to the doctor, and learns that being sick isn't as fun as he thought.
