Tico and the Golden Wings

Tico and the Golden Wings is a classic children's book by Leo Lionni about a wingless bird who receives golden wings, only to be ostracized by his friends who feel he is superior. The story is a fable about individuality, generosity, and acceptance, as Tico learns to value himself and ultimately gives away his golden feathers, finding true friendship when he is no longer "golden" but is welcomed back for who he is.
