Note sull'episodio
“Roundtables on Race” is back with a look at contemporary issues and why they matter - not just to people and communities of color, but to everyone. In this season premiere, Professor Irving Joyner, professor of law at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law and legal commentator for local, state and national media, returns to the podcast to discuss constitutionality and the federal government. He and host the Rev. Kathy Walker discuss the origins of the Constitution as a framework for how we live as a nation; how the amendments to the Constitution were demanded by citizens as a means to protect all citizens and prevent abuses of power by the federal government; the implications and dangers of allowing the protections afforded by those amendments to erode, both in the short and long term; and a reminder that ours is a government for the people and by the people.
