Note sull'episodio
If Jesus is who He claimed to be, He does not only tell us what God wants. He shows us who God is. This episode turns to the central mystery of the Catholic faith: one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Drawing on Frank Sheed, we set aside the idea that the Trinity is a math problem no one can solve. We are not saying that three equals one. We are saying there are three Persons in one Nature. Nature answers “What is God?” Person answers “Who is God?” The Father’s perfect self-knowledge is the Son. The infinite love of Father and Son is the Holy Spirit. God is not infinite solitude. He is infinite companionship.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19
Practice this week: Once each day, make the Sign of the Cross slowly, saying the words with attention: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You do not have to force warmth or certainty. Just name the three Persons.
