Mayra is an immigrant from the Dominican Republic who has worked in the field of social work and counseling for the last 28 years. She has provided individual, group, and family counseling to diverse groups of youth and their families, including students that have experienced complex trauma. Mayra currently works as a Student Assistance Counselor with RISAS to help promote mental and physical health among young people.
