Riptide Podcast - Lukes Lounge - Ep55 - Azza Glossop

This episode on Luke’s Lounge we really dive into the sacred art of Drop Knee and who better to yarn to about it than Cronulla local, Aaron Glassop. With plenty of years behind him throwing the knee up at every slab the Shire has to offer up, Aaron has achieved so much in Jack Stance. From DK’ing through a Shark Island Challenge, to tackling Cape Solander on the knee to jumping off 50ft cliff jumps around the area, Aaron has lived an incredibly colourful life. It was great to catch up over past memories, chew the fat and discuss his new found life with his family up on the North Coast of NSW. Hope you enjoy as it was one for the memory banks ⚡️

Riptide Podcast - Lukes Lounge - Ep54 - Tom Morris

Episode 54 swings straight into action with one of W.A’s core lords, Tommy Morris, sliding onto the lounge to talk about his life on the boog. Luke n Tom cross into an assortment of topics, ranging from his dream heat with the GOAT of booging over in the Maldives, to his most recent project, Ying n Yang, and what’s it like cruising Hawaii with local North Shore legend Jonny Correa for a few seasons or two. All time chat with an all time legend, this one’s for WA crew, get on ittttt 👌

Riptide Podcast - Comp Talk - With Luke & Coops - Fronton King Drama

As Luke says “opinions are like assholes, everybody has one” and there’s been a lot of speculation around what’s actually occurred at the last stop on the 2023 world circuit, the Fronton Pro in Gran Canaria. We’ve heard Mikes side of the story, we’ve heard from many opinions in the way of the online bodyboarding community, yet the IBC have been relatively (extremely) quiet about the whole darn debacle. From Chilean fists to Mikes last ditch, have a listen to Luke and Coops chew the fat on everything booging and please tell us your thoughts in the comments below. If it wasn’t Mike but someone else, would we all be up in arms? Much to ponder 🤔

Riptide Podcast - Lukes Lounge - Ep53 - Byron Namenyi

The East Coast Core LordByron joins Luke on the lounge and wow he didn’t hold back. From history lessons in Riptide front page covers, to his many runs in at the infamous super bank in his early 20’s to getting shown how to do proper inverts in a Northies beer garden by Nathan Purcell. The fella is funny as fuck whilst still being insightful and honest with his views on booging and the world around him. Great chat and it’s mentioned his presence is required again to chew the fat as he certainly can spin a yarn as you will certainly hear in episode 53 of a Luke’s Lounge, enjoy. 🤙

Riptide Podcast - Lukes Lounge - Ep51 - Chris White

For episode 51 of the pod, we thought we would turn the production up a few bars and incorporate visuals on this one in a lifetime interview with the great and powerful Chris White. The man needing no introductions gave up his time whilst on the east coast of Aus touring his Up in Joke Tour with co-podcast host, Brian Woodsy Shields, and wow Luke and Chris covered some ground. From avoiding cancel culture to spotting gaping pussies spitting off in the distant Indian Ocean to how intense is to prepare for a ninja warrior journey - this one was a zinger for the ages. Enjoy Loungers

Riptide Podcast - Lukes Lounge - Ep48 - Paul Van Den Boom

When grass root Australian Booging gets discussed, Paul Van Den Boom’s powerful name isn’t too far away from being mentioned. With his down right Aussie passion for booging bubbling and boiling away underneath that calculated dome of Paul’s on the daily, it’s a wonder he hasn’t blown a gasket with all the energy he’s applied towards the sport. With a fast growing short podcast series, called “Future Cast”, that focuses in on junior riders as they are competing at local community bodyboarding comps around Aus, Paul is continually shining light on some of the more shaded areas on the industry he truly loves. With his work platformed on riptide.com.au and with plenty more creative avenues listed on his link tree profile, Paul is a creative and well spoken individual who I enjoyed chatting to very much so.I hope you get something out of the conversation, as much as I did hosting it.Shaccckkasssss
