S1E9: Compatible or Complementary; Does It Matter?

When we're single and finding a life-partner becomes a priority, sometimes it can be difficult to keep from focusing on the wrong things. Listen closely as The Radfords and two of their oldest and closest friends, Avery and Denise Henry, drop helpful and practical nuggets concerning staying focused on what's truly important when it comes to courtship and the love that leads to Covenant.

S1E8: Are You in Covenant or Under Contract?

Legally, marriage is often classified as a "contract" but spiritually it's so much more than that! Marriage is a Covenant Agreement that binds those entering in to it to something older than the institution of marriage itself. Love that seeks another's highest good is the greatest distinguishing factor between marriage just being a legally binding contract or being a spiritually binding covenant agreement.

S1E7: Intimacy - It's More Than You Think

In this episode Pastor J. and Lady Al discuss two specific kinds of intimacy and how they play a vital role in the covenant relationship. One of these intimacies can stand alone from the other but, when properly aligned, the "hidden" intimacy greatly enhances the more visible one.

S1E6: Where Does it Fit?

Don’t get it twisted, there are times when aggression is warranted & necessary, but aggression shouldn’t be our default setting for everything; especially in relationships. Pastor J & Lady Al get into recognizing and understanding the differences between aggression and assertiveness in covenant relationships.

S1E5: Handling Conflict the Way Healthy Couples Do

Contrary to popular opinion, healthy couples do exist. They are not immune from conflict, they just do things differently. In this episode, the Radfords discuss three distinct characteristics of healthy couples and how these traits determine their overall relational health.

S1E4: How to Maintain Covenant Through Challenges

Life is filled with challenges and how we handle them can make or break us. In this episode, Pastor J.'s parents join the conversation as the couples discuss potential pitfalls when faced with transitions and change and identify the posture needed to overcome them.

S1E3: Real Love In a Real World

In this episode, the Radfords explain how real love is not what we see in most movies or tv and it rarely is "easy breezy". Real love and real relationships require real work. Listen as the couple shares the importance of setting realistic expectations that insulate one another from disappointment and let down.

S1E2: Rehearse Your Story

In this episode, Pastor J. and Al share how their 30-year journey began. Recalling your courtship and the things that brought you together can refresh Covenant Love. So pull out some old pictures, or play a favorite song from when you first met and be intentional about rehearsing your love story.

S1E1: Are We on the Same Page?

Just because we're in love doesn't automatically make us in sync! In this Inaugural episode Pastor J. and Al point out some of the "potholes" that throw off our covenant alignment, causing premature wear and tear. Learn the tools and strategies they've used that can recover and recalibrate your relationship.
