Big Idea: BEFORE GOD SENDS THE FIRE, HE HOLDS UP THE MIRROR.

Before we ask God to move in power, we must first allow Him to reveal what’s really happening in our hearts. Through Jesus’ letter to the church in Laodicea and Isaiah’s desperate prayer for revival, we discover that God doesn’t begin renewal by changing our circumstances... He begins by changing us. The mirror of God’s Word exposes what we’ve grown comfortable ignoring, calling us to stop saying, “I’m fine,” and instead pray the dangerous prayer: “Search me, O God.” Because before God sends the fire, He always holds up the mirror.
