The Sermon on the Mount (Week 5- A Deeper Righteousness)

Jesus did not come to destroy God's law but to reveal its true heart and bring it to completion. The law is good and valid, but it cannot fix our sin problem. Like a mirror, it shows us what is wrong but cannot make us clean. Only Christ can do that. The righteousness Jesus calls us to is not about following more rules. It is a new life formed from the inside out by His Spirit. When we love God with our whole heart and love our neighbors as ourselves, even those we disagree with, we are living out the fulfillment of the law. That is the kind of righteousness that surpasses the Pharisees.
