In this episode, we sit down with Nicole and Robert Louthain, parents of 6-year-old Katarina Louthain, who tragically lost her life in a devastating car accident involving a suspected drunk driver near the Grand Forks International Airport in June 2024.

The driver, 44-year-old Travis Bell, was charged with criminal vehicular homicide, with authorities reporting a blood alcohol concentration of 0.13. However, a judge later ruled the BAC evidence inadmissible, stating it was obtained illegally.

During our conversation, the Louthains share their journey through grief, the challenges they've faced in seeking justice for Katarina, and their efforts to raise awareness about the need for stricter DUI laws in North Dakota. They also discuss organizing a rally outside the Grand Forks County Courthouse to advocate for change.
