Primary Scripture: Matthew 14:22-32

In this episode of Rod Talks, Pastor Rodney chronicles the spiritual transformation of the disciple Peter by analyzing Matthew 14:22–33. Pastor Rodney highlights how Jesus pushed the disciples out of their comfort zones by sending them into a treacherous storm. He emphasizes that Peter’s legendary attempt to walk on water demonstrates that human failure and panic occur the precise moment we take our eyes off Christ. Ultimately, Pastor Rodney concludes that these trials were purposefully designed to build the spiritual "courage muscle" Peter needed to later spread the Gospel.
