In John 3:22–36, John the Baptist’s disciples are troubled because more people are going to Jesus. But John responds with joy, not jealousy: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” This sermon looks at what it means to receive our place from God, rejoice when Jesus is glorified, and respond to the Son who alone gives eternal life. The story does not belong to us. It belongs to Jesus, and by grace, we find our place in Him.
