Taste & See the Lord is Good

In today’s episode, Rach and Suz talk about the inspiration for Rach’s jingle at the end of each episode (have you listened to the variations of them? 🙂): taste and see the Lord is good! They discuss what Psalm 34:8 means when it invites us to do that, how experiential moments with God help us grow in our relationship with Him, and what the fullness of God’s goodness means. #christianpodcast #christianliving #christianity #godisgood #psalms Follow Rach and Suz on Instagram and Facebook And if you’re enjoying the podcast, please like, subscribe, and leave us a 5-star review! The Enemy Roars

Today, Rach and Suz discuss 1 Peter 5:8-9, why the devil is symbolized as a roaring lion, and what this tells us about his behavior towards believers. How do you resist him, and what does it mean to stand firm in your faith? Listen as they dig into these two verses, and know that whatever you may be going through today, your brother and sister believers are with you! #christiany #christianpodcast #christianliving #bibleverse #newchristianpodcast Follow Rach and Suz on Instagram and Facebook And if you’re enjoying the podcast, please like, subscribe, and leave us a 5-star review!

Bible Etiquette

Today, Rach and Suz talk about Bible etiquette! Are there rules about how to treat and read the Bible? Can you–or should you–write in it? What about translations? If someone’s unfamiliar with the Bible, where could s/he start reading? Listen as they talk a little about how they use their Bibles and offer suggestions for how to handle God’s Word. Holy Week: Going to Gethsemane

Blessings to you, friends, it’s Holy Week! In today’s episode, as we prepare to honor Jesus’ passion this Good Friday and celebrate His resurrection this Easter Sunday, Rach and Suz dive into the importance of the Garden of Gethsemane–the symbolism of its name and how it relates to Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross. What does an oil press, olive oil, and anointings have to do with the Passion? Why is Gethsemane called a garden, and what is the significance of Jesus spending the hours before His arrest in this Garden? We hope you learn more about the Lord and His love for us as we honor Him this Holy Week! Bonus Episode Passover

Today begins Passover, one of the most celebrated holidays in the Jewish year, commemorating God’s saving power and the dawn of Jewish freedom from Egyptian slavery. Jesus, Himself a Jewish man, honored and celebrated Passover–and used it to institute what is now known as the Last Supper (also called the Eucharist or communion). Today, through the Scriptures, we hear how the Passover was established and how Jesus revealed Himself as the Passover lamb, on this, the eve before His crucifixion. Another very special guest reads to us from Exodus 12 and Matthew 26: 17-19 and 26-30.

Bonus Episode: Psalm Sunday

It’s Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week! Palm Sunday, the day we celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, occurs a mere five days before the tides turn and He’s crucified. Join us as we set aside a little time to read through the Holy Scriptures this week and prepare our hearts for Easter as we hear both prophetically and from first-hand witnesses (via the Gospels) what Jesus experienced. Today’s reading, by a very special guest, comes from Zechariah 9:9, Mark 11:1-10, and Luke 19: 39-40.

Salt of The Earth

In today’s episode, Rach and Suz consider how salt is talked about in both the Old Testament (in Numbers 18:19 and Leviticus 2:13) and the New Testament (Matthew 5:13). Jesus calls us to be the “salt of the Earth” (not to be salty!). How would 1st century Jewish hearers of this have understood this command? What can we learn about the value of salt and how not to lose our saltiness? And what does it truly mean to be the salt of the Earth?
