Keep Hope Alive

Rev. Jesse Jackson's "Keep hope alive," quoted in the preface of Samuel's book, frames hope as a leadership strategy rather than a feeling. The center is his 2021 stage 4 cancer testimony — Rev. Jackson's phone-call prayer in the Long Island room, Elder Peter Smith's prayers with oil, remission within a year — plus Romans 15:13, Hebrews 6:19, Psalm 42:11, and Luke 12:48 from his "God Gave Me Another Chance" blog. Hope doesn't say the storm isn't real; it says the storm isn't final.
