Brothers and sisters, every week people gather under steeples to listen to a message about this so-called-salvation that we can have by asking this “Jesus” to come into our hearts. However, messages never use this scripture when referring to eternal life, “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3 (NASB) Eternal life is so much more than a religious confession, it is an intimacy with the Father and the Son!

We can gain a lot of wisdom by studying the church epistles written by Paul, who had a real relationship with Jesus. In reading God’s Word, we can plainly see how his relationship with Jesus cost him his membership (so-to-speak) in religion.
