Witness Without Letting Fear Rule You
Talking about your faith can feel intimidating.
You may fear sounding awkward. Being judged. Not having the right answers. Creating discomfort. So sometimes, even when a door opens, we stay silent.
But God has not given us a spirit of fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 says:
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7 - NIV)
This verse is beautifully balanced. God gives power, but also love and wisdom.
To witness does not mean forcing, overpowering, or winning an argument. It means sharing, with gentleness, the hope God has placed within us.
1 Peter 3:15 invites us to be ready to give an answer for the hope that we have, but to do it with gentleness and respect.
In Acts 4, believers do not ask for an easy life. They ask God to give them boldness to speak His word.
Today, I encourage you not to let fear decide for you. Simply ask God for a right word, a loving heart, and peaceful courage.
Prayer
Lord, free me from the fear of speaking about You. Give me words full of love, truth, and wisdom. Help me speak of You with courage and humility.
