Note sull'episodio
Join us as Wayne Giles shares a pivotal moment in his recovery journey in the ‘Step 4 Wayne Lived Experience Series’. In this powerful episode, Wayne recounts a life-changing encounter with God during treatment, where he undertook the courageous task of writing down every person, institution, and idea that had offended him. As he dug deeper, Wayne began to see not just how these external factors had affected him, but more importantly, what his own part was in these conflicts—a critical realization in the process of spiritual growth.
Wayne describes how this experience, aligned with the principles of Step 4 in Alcoholics Anonymous, allowed him to release the emotional burdens he had carried for so long. By acknowledging his role in these situations and taking responsibility for his part, he was able to experience a profound unburdening, which he describes as happening over just a few days. His story emphasizes the transformative power of true self-examination and the spiritual clarity that comes from making a fearless moral inventory.
This episode sheds light on the deep emotional work that accompanies Step 4 and offers valuable insights into how recovery can lead to unexpected breakthroughs. Wayne’s journey reminds us that confronting our past with honesty and humility is the key to unlocking the freedom and healing that recovery promises.
