Note sull'episodio
Join Wayne Giles as he reads and expands on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering deeper understanding and practical advice for those on their recovery journey. In this Step 2 AA session, Wayne delves into the significance of belief—whether a person already believes or is simply willing to believe in a power greater than themselves. The Big Book assures us emphatically that the moment a person reaches this point, they are on their way to recovery.
“As soon as a man can say that he does believe or is willing to believe, we emphatically assure him that he is on his way.”
Wayne highlights the importance of this “simple cornerstone” in the recovery process, noting that it refers to a concept that many may recognize from spiritual teachings, particularly from “the other book.” This cornerstone of belief is the foundation upon which a wonderfully effective spiritual structure can be built. This session encourages participants to embrace this crucial step in their journey, recognizing that willingness to believe is all it takes to begin building a new life grounded in spiritual principles.
