Note sull'episodio
Join Wayne Giles as he reads and expands on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering deeper understanding and practical advice for those on their recovery journey. In this Step 2 AA session, Wayne explores a fundamental truth revealed in the Big Book: our dilemma was not a lack of willpower, but a lack of true power—a power greater than ourselves that could guide us to a new way of living.
“Lack of power, that was our dilemma. We had to find a power by which we could live, and it had to be a power greater than ourselves.”
Wayne reflects on the realization that, despite our self-assured attitudes and declarations of independence, we were powerless over our addiction. This session delves into the critical need to find a power greater than ourselves, a power that can provide the strength and direction we need to truly live. The Big Book makes it clear that the purpose of its teachings is to help us discover this power, guiding us out of the darkness of addiction and into the light of recovery.
