Note sull'episodio

Join Joe McDonald as he reads from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, delving into the essential practice of vulnerability and honesty in the recovery process during Steps 5, 6, & 7. Joe underscores the importance of sharing every aspect of one’s journey, no matter how difficult, to truly progress in recovery.

“I mean I couldn’t stop shaking for weeks. And so they had to write for me. So whatever it takes. But we pocket our pride and go to it, illuminating every twist of character, dark cranny of the past. Why do they use those words? Yeah, and it’s not about perfection. It’s about progress. So the idea is to question your thinking. If you’re thinking, ‘Oh, they don’t need to know that,’ yeah, they do. If you skipped right past it, then it’s probably not occupying any space. Does that make sense?”
