Join Joe McDonald as he reads from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, exploring the transformative impact of Step 2 AA. Reflecting on the revolutionary changes that come from believing in a power greater than ourselves, Joe emphasizes the profound shifts in living and thinking that accompany this step.
In this session, Joe discusses the importance of embracing a power greater than ourselves. “They flatly declare that since they have come to believe in a power greater than themselves, to take a certain attitude toward that power, and to do certain simple things, there’s been a revolutionary change in their way of living and thinking. How many of you have required such a revolution from time to time?”
Joe also highlights the sensory experience of newfound power and peace. “In the face of collapse and despair, in the face of the total failure of their human resources, they found that a new power, peace, happiness, and sense of direction flowed into them.”
