We discuss the mk ultra project, a CIA "mind control" project, or more accurately the CIA running some crazy experiments on people to see what happens to the brain under stress and drugs, and Project Stargate, the CIA's psychic "remote viewing" program, which sounds fake, but was a well documented CIA program that attempted to use psychics to spy on foreign countries.
We go off on some pretty strange tangents, but we discuss the Watergate Incident, the Church Committee, and some tin foil hat conspiracies we encountered along the way
We discuss China and the "balloon incident" where a Chinese surveillance balloon was seen over the US and ultimately shot down. We discuss some of the tensions the US has with China already, with Taiwan and some economic sanctions as well.
We bring up some topics that we have discussed on previous podcasts, but we bring on a guest speaker who lived through many of the event, Frank (full disclosure Frank is my father). We discuss cold war, space race, and Vietnam, getting some first hand knowledge from someone who lived through that time frame. Thanks for coming on Dad
We're back, and this time talking about the Great Depression, and the New Deal. We wanted to walk away from this with an idea of what caused the great depression, but that was harder than we thought. But we did come away learning some new things, and some interesting things, and hopefully you will too. Also, this video was too amusing not to share. We're back again to talk about the Vietnam War. After discussing this briefly during the cold war podcast we're back with a little more in depth discussion of what occurred in Vietnam, talking about the events leading up to the US entering combat with the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, how the war was fought (bombs, lots of bombs, and some guerilla warfare).
