FEM* Pleasure: Desire, Bodies and Representation
Pleasure is and will forever be political, specially for fem*-identifying beings. Exploring how women’s bodies continue to be represented, censored and regulated today. From shame to desire, intimacy and empowerment, the discussion asks a simple question: who profits from shame? What happens when you reconnect with your own body and desire? @PLAYBABE0 is a Feminist collective and creative agency, based Berlin, who's work is essentially centered around more representation on female empowerment and freedom. On this Panel, we had the honor to discuss FEM* Pleasure (Desire, Bodies and Representation) with 4 incredibly strong voices: Mandhla Ndubiwa, Maimouna Coulibaly, Lea Holzfurtner, and Aurelia Majean, the co-founder of PLAYBABE. *FEM: Represents a spectrum of gender expression that embraces femininity in its many forms, but it is not limited to what is traditionally considered « feminine. » This identity transcends traditional gender roles and includes anyone, whether women, non-binary, or gender non-conforming individuals, who resonate with the ethos of FEM. It’s about embracing diverse expressions of self and challenging societal normas by redefining what it means to embody feminity.
