Here’s my recommended apology:

• 🛑 STOP: this is not about your apology, it's about the feeling the other person has.

• 🙇🏻‍♀️ APOLOGIZE: sincerely, that is: "I am so sorry."

• ❓ ASK: "What can I do (or what can I change) so I don't repeat my mistakes?"

• 🔍 BE PREPARED: for them to not help you. This is where you will need to Google.

• 👂🏻 LISTEN: Do not interrupt the person you are apologizing to!

• 🙏🏻THANK the person for helping you understand.

• 🪑 SIT in your discomfort. Learn from your mistake.

• 🔇DO NOT REPEAT whatever was said or done again.
