This book has been a treasure chest full of spiritual riches, and it ends the same way it began: assuring us of God’s sovereign rule and faithful care over His people. Daniel 11 and 12 confront us with visions of kings rising and falling, nations clashing, and history unfolding in breathtaking — and at times unsettling — detail. Yet perhaps the most striking moment is also the simplest: when the Lord speaks to Daniel and says, “But go your way till the end. And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at the end of the days” (Daniel 12:13, ESV).

O death, where is your sting?' The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15: 26-27, 54-57 ESV)! Jesus has been raised from the dead! Jesus is alive! The resurrection of Jesus guarantees us life!
