Note sull'episodio
Every time I tell someone I’m from Omaha, I get the same question: “There are Black people in Nebraska?”
Yes and this episode is about the Omaha I know - the food, neighborhoods, traditions, Black history, and family that shaped me. It’s about growing up surrounded by Black excellence before I even had a name for it.
I also talk about why I left Omaha in 2012, what leaving allowed me to become, and what it means to return nearly 15 years later with a completely different appreciation for home.
I may have left Omaha, but Omaha never really left me.
Now, hear me out.
