Welcome to the North East Film Dispatch - Your weekly updates of what’s happening in film and media across the North East of England and beyond, brought to you by Newcastle Film Club. I’m Samantha Castro, the founder and president of Newcastle Film Club. We’re a community filmmaking group and social enterprise in Newcastle Upon Tyne, helping to lower the barrier to film and media for those in Newcastle and the surrounding areas.
Every week we’re going to be sharing with you 5 minute updates about what’s going on in the filmmaking community at Newcastle film club and the wider North East. We’ll also be interviewing filmmakers and creatives from our community, sharing with you their journeys and hopefully giving you a bit of inspiration along the way.
You can hear these updates first every week on Radio Ouseburn. Tune in Thursdays during the Radio Ouseburn Film Club show with Dom Bajoria or fortnightly on Wednesdays during the Chatty Lasses in Film show by the Young Women’s Film Academy. If you miss our bulletins on Radio Ouseburn, you can always find the latest episode at newcastlefilmclub.co.uk/radio or subscribe to The North East Film Dispatch wherever you get your podcasts.
If you’re someone interested in film and media, our bulletin is the perfect place to hear what’s going on and how you can get involved.
So tune in to Radio Ouseburn or subscribe to wherever you listen to podcasts.
