Hosea 10 - August 8, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 10, where Israel uses God’s prosperity to finance their idolatry. God planted the vine, watered it, and blessed it—but instead of giving the harvest back to Him, Israel used His gifts to build altars for false gods. Prosperity that does not become worship eventually becomes an idol. Hosea 10 reminds us that false gods always fail. Israel trusted kings, armies, golden calves, and fortified cities, but every lesser god was eventually carried away, exposed, or destroyed. So today, read Hosea 10 and ask the Lord to break up the fallow ground of your heart: do not waste His blessings, do not worship what can be carried away, and sow righteousness while there is still time.

Hosea 9 - August 7, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 9, where judgment has arrived while Israel is still celebrating. They are rejoicing at their festivals, but Hosea interrupts the celebration with a funeral announcement. They are enjoying the gifts of God while giving credit to false gods, and the Lord declares that the land He gave them will no longer be theirs to enjoy. Hosea 9 reminds us that false celebration, rejected revelation, corrupted worship, and covenant rebellion all lead to exile. Israel became like the gods they worshiped, and their ability to recognize truth faded with their rebellion. So today, read Hosea 9 and ask the Lord to keep your heart tender: worship the true God, listen when He speaks, and become more like the One whose glory you behold.

Hosea 8 - August 6, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 8, where Israel’s broken covenant brings the warning that punishment is coming. They still used spiritual language and cried, “My God, we know you,” but their profession was loud while their obedience was absent. They had rejected God’s law, replaced His authority, and redesigned religion to suit their own desires. Hosea 8 reminds us that empty religion cannot save and manufactured idols cannot replace the God who made us. Israel sowed the wind and reaped the whirlwind because they multiplied altars while forgetting their Maker. So today, read Hosea 8 and let it warn your heart: do not settle for words without obedience, religion without surrender, or worship that sounds spiritual but has forgotten God.

Hosea 7 - August 5, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 7, where God exposes Israel’s true condition beneath their hollow repentance. Their greatest threat was not Assyria outside the walls, but unrepentant sin inside their hearts. The corruption began at the top, with leaders marked by violence, drunkenness, conspiracy, and murder—and no one was seeking the Lord. Hosea 7 reminds us how dangerous spiritual decay can be when we no longer notice it. Israel was like an unturned cake, gray-haired without knowing it, a silly dove chasing every refuge but God, and a warped bow unable to fulfill its purpose. So today, read Hosea 7 and ask the Lord to make you aware of every compromise: stay in His Word, return to Him fully, and refuse to become comfortable while drifting away.

Hosea 6 - August 4, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 6, where the first three verses open with a call to return to the Lord. Israel acknowledges that the same God who tore them can heal them, and the same God who struck them can bind them up. There is a glimpse of resurrection hope here, because God alone can bring life where sin has brought ruin. But Hosea 6 also warns us about hollow repentance—the kind that appears for a moment and disappears like morning dew. God is not looking for temporary emotion, empty ritual, or quick relief; He desires steadfast love and the knowledge of God. So today, read Hosea 6 and let the Lord examine your heart: return to Him fully, reject shallow repentance, and remember that when we sow sin, we reap judgment—but when we return to God, we find mercy.

Hosea 4 & 5 - August 3, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 4 and 5, where the tragedy moves from Hosea’s home to Hosea’s homeland. God speaks, and His people reject Him. There is no truth, no steadfast love, and no knowledge of God in the land—only lying, stealing, murder, adultery, and spiritual rebellion. The people are destroyed not because knowledge was unavailable, but because they rejected the knowledge of God. Hosea 4 and 5 remind us that rebellion is not mainly inability; it is unwillingness. God speaks, the people reject, God warns, and eventually God withdraws. So today, read these chapters with a sober heart: do not ignore the God who is calling you, do not mistake His patience for permission, and return to Him while He is near.

Romans 9 - August 1, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Romans 9, where Paul carries a deep burden for Israel and points us back to Hosea. After showing that all mankind is guilty, that God saves, secures, and sanctifies by His grace, Paul turns his attention to the people of Israel and reminds us that God’s promises have not failed. His mercy is His to give, and the Creator has authority over His creation. Romans 9 uses Hosea’s language to show the stunning reach of God’s love: those once called “not my people” are now called “my people.” In Christ, Jews and Gentiles are brought into the family of God, adopted by grace and loved with covenant mercy. So today, read Romans 9 and remember: if you have been bought by the blood of Jesus, you belong to Him.

Hosea 3 - July 31, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 3, one of the most tender pictures of redeeming love in all of Scripture. God tells Hosea not merely to retrieve Gomer, but to love her again. She had run so far that sin had enslaved her, yet Hosea goes after her, pays the price, and brings her back. Hosea 3 reminds us that God does not simply rescue His people—He loves them. Our sin left us enslaved, undesirable, and unable to free ourselves, but Christ came to purchase His bride with His own blood. So today, read Hosea 3 and remember: the God of glory did not just rescue you from sin; He loves you, restores you, and brings you home.

Jeremiah 3 - July 30, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Jeremiah 3, where God calls His people to return from their spiritual adultery. Judah had watched Israel fall, had heard the warnings, and had even seen outward reforms under Josiah—but the idols removed from the land had not been removed from their hearts. They spoke lovingly of God while living defiantly before Him. Jeremiah 3 reminds us that God is not after halfway reform; He is calling for true repentance. Idols always promise more than they can give, and sin eventually leaves the soul unashamed, deceived, and far from the Father’s heart. So today, read Jeremiah 3 and hear the mercy in God’s repeated cry: return, return, return.

Hosea 2 - July 29, 2026

https://square.link/u/UHRU92rp - Donate Here Today’s reading takes us to Hosea 2, where God exposes the heartbreak of Israel’s spiritual adultery. His people had chased after false lovers, believing they could provide what only the Lord could give. But every idol eventually leaves the soul empty, bruised, wasted, and forgetful of the God who has been faithful all along. Yet Hosea 2 does not end with rejection—it turns toward relentless pursuit. God says “I will” again and again, not only in judgment, but in restoration, mercy, covenant love, and renewed intimacy. So today, read Hosea 2 and remember: the false gods cannot satisfy, but the true God still pursues, restores, and calls His people back to Himself.
