Today’s reading takes us to Acts 19, where we see what happens when people truly come to know Jesus. The Savior is explained, the Word spreads, the name of Jesus is exalted, false spirituality is exposed, and people begin abandoning the idols that once controlled them. Knowing Jesus does not simply add another spiritual experience to your life—it changes your allegiance.
Acts 19 reminds us that spiritual maturity begins with truth about Christ, not the pursuit of an experience. Before the extraordinary miracles came sustained instruction in the Word, and when genuine transformation came, costly obedience followed. People burned what once held value because Jesus had become more valuable. So today, read Acts 19 and remember: a church hungry for spiritual power must remain hungry for biblical truth. Knowing Jesus changes what you believe, what you value, what you worship, and ultimately everything about your life.
