Neither Hot Nor Cold
Stagione 1
di Andrew Barfield
Welcome back to Episode 2! Today, we begin a new mini-series walking through the New Testament book of 1 John. Traditionally attributed to the Apostle John, this letter was written to confront false teachers or deceivers who were leading believers astray by denying essential truths about Christ. Much like the opening of John's Gospel, the letter begins with John's eyewitness testimony to the trustworthiness and reliability of Jesus as Lord. He then proclaims that God is light and calls believers to walk in that same light through obedience, repentance, and fellowship with Him. Many Christians wonder what it means to know God, but 1 John paints a compelling picture of what a genuine and intimate relationship with Jesus actually looks like. Join us as we explore the contrast between a lukewarm faith and the genuine Christian life John describes!
Hey everyone! Thanks for joining me on our FIRST episode of Neither Hot Nor Cold. Today, I dive into a little bit of my testimony as an introduction before we read Matthew 7:21-23 to discuss one of the most alarming passages in all of Scripture. After breaking down Jesus' statement of "I never knew you", we will go through some common ways that Christians today may be living that could be indicators of a heart filled with lukewarmness.
