Canucks vs Golden Knights | Postgame | Rusty 'n Dusty | Too Little Too Late
Note sull'episodio
Dustin Boydell joins Russell Holiday to break down the Vancouver Canucks coming up just short on the second half of a back-to-back, falling 3–2 to the Vegas Golden Knights at Rogers Arena. The boys start off by breaking down a sluggish second period plagued by ill-timed penalties and defensive lapses, including Mitch Marner dancing around a scrambling defense and Mark Gatcomb capitalizing on blown net-front coverage. They highlight the steady leadership and relentless play of Elias Pettersson, who picked up another assist, dished out three hits, blocked three shots, and went 62.5% in the face-off circle alongside a scorching Paul Cotter notching his fourth goal of the season. As well, they get into Jonathan Lekkerimäki's sneaky quick release beating Adin Hill to briefly tie the game, Kevin Lankinen battling through heavy Vegas traffic in net, and a lively debate over Luke Schenn’s repeated interference calls.
Then Rusty 'n Dusty dive into the coaching adjustments from Manny Malhotra, examining how shuffling the defensive pairs and blending the forward lines sparked a spirited third-period push. They praise Lekkerimäki earning late-game trust and showing more confidence on the boards, discuss Arshdeep Baines’ defensive positioning struggles, and evaluate Filip Hronek logging heavy back-to-back minutes on the blue line. Lastly, the boys look ahead to three much-needed recovery days to review film and reset before the Canucks travel east to face the reigning Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes.
If you are sick of Luke Gazdic's poor analysis during the intermission, if you are looking for someone to banter with during the game and if you want to meet a bunch of crazy hockey fans then this stream is the one for you. There will be mayhem in chat so make sure you say hello when you stop by.
