Canucks vs Oilers | Postgame | Rusty 'n Dusty | DON"T PANIC

Dustin Boydell joins Russell Holiday to break down the Vancouver Canucks' 2–0 preseason loss to the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Arena. The boys start off by keeping the panic meter low, diving into the underlying positives and structural improvements under Manny Malhotra despite the lack of finish. They chat about the instant chemistry on the new-look top line of Jake DeBrusk, Elias Pettersson, and Linus Karlsson, highlighted by DeBrusk's relentless forechecking and EP40 throwing his weight around with four hits and an 80% night in the face-off dot. As well, they get into Filip Chytil leaving early with an injury, Chris Driedger’s rebound control in net, and the contrasting blue-line performances between Filip Hronek and Zeev Buium.

Then Rusty 'n Dusty get into the physical identity of team whale, praising Luke Schenn and Jamie Oleksiak for protecting the young guys and keeping the front of the net clear. They discuss Victor Mancini bouncing back with steady defensive minutes, debate the struggles of Brock Boeser and the "BRÖ line," and explain why the front office shouldn't burn their top waiver priority on short-term center depth. Lastly, the boys look ahead to upcoming roster cuts, Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Braeden Cootes pushing for spots, and preview Saturday’s final preseason dress rehearsal against the Seattle Kraken.

If you are sick of Luke Gazdic's poor analysis during the intermission, if you are looking for someone to banter with during the game and if you want to meet a bunch of crazy hockey fans then this stream is the one for you. There will be mayhem in chat so make sure you say hello when you stop by.
