Canucks vs Kraken | Rusty 'n Dusty Postgame | Preseason Game 1
Note sull'episodio
Dustin Boydell joins Russell Holiday to break down the Vancouver Canucks' preseason opener against the Seattle Kraken. The boys start off by reviewing the 4–2 loss, discussing how Seattle's heavy forecheck gave the young guys fits and led to costly defensive-zone turnovers. They chat about the bright spots from the game, including Manny Malhotra's squad dominating the face-off circle, Nikita Tolopilo's steady play in net, and the third-period push highlighted by Arshdeep Baines finishing off a feed from Braeden Cootes. As well, they dive into the struggles of Jonathan Lekkerimäki looking rusty, the chemistry of the AHL-heavy lines, and debate Aatu Räty's defensive responsibility.
Then Rusty 'n Dusty get into the contract loophole reported by Ben Kuzma regarding Adam Novotný's eligibility to play for the Abbotsford Canucks instead of returning to the OHL. They discuss the upcoming roster cuts ahead of Tuesday's matchup against the Calgary Flames, while making fun of the media narrative that Calgary somehow has a better roster than the boys in blue and green. Lastly, the boys chat about Quit Hughes turning down an extension with the Minnesota Wild, debate potential landing spots for him ahead of the trade deadline, and look ahead to the remaining preseason schedule.
If you are sick of Luke Gazdic's poor analysis during the intermission, if you are looking for someone to banter with during the game and if you want to meet a bunch of crazy hockey fans then this stream is the one for you. There will be mayhem in chat so make sure you say hello when you stop by.
