Land of Confusion

This week we are having an adventure into the realm of WTF. All of our films this week have left more than one person scratching their head at the conclusion wondering what it was that they just watched. Join us as we try to make sense of these films. The movies are Mandy, Jacob's Ladder (1990) and John Dies at the End #horror #horrorreviews #podoutatnight #jacobsladder #johndiesattheend #mandy Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

Losing My Religion

This week we are trying to prove that movies can have heavy religious overtones and still be worth watching. There are no heavy hands here, just some interesting world building on the foundation that God does exist. Although we may not agree with that foundation, you can’t deny that there are some fun stories based on that source material. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

David Lynch Director Spotlight

This week we continue the month of Salem by taking a journey through the twisted mind of the late David Lynch. You either love him or hate him, but there is no denying his impact on the movie world. These movies may not technically belong in the horror category, but I’m calling it close enough. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

Tetsuo: The Man, The Hammer, The Bullet

We are entering the month of Salem. I get to pick all the movies and upset Graveyard with confusing stories, plotlines that go nowhere, and arthouse slop. We begin this month with the always fun Tetsuo: The Iron Man, then round it out with its 2 sequels. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

The Demons Just Keep Coming

We end the spooky season with a Halloween trip through the remainder of the Night of the Demons franchise. Battling through all the horny teenagers, sometimes there is a bit of story trying to poke through. Sometimes there is nothing at all, and sometimes franchises get put out to pasture. Join us to see if these sequels are worth returning to Hull house.

Remakes of the Dead

The zombie craze continues with remakes galore. Sometimes it is a color remake of the original, and sometimes it takes the spirit of the original sequel to forge their own. Then we see a sharp decline in quality, with parkour zombies and CGI that would make Romero roll in his grave. Tonight we are discussing the remakes of the classic Romero ‘of the dead’ trilogy with the 1990 Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, and Day of the Dead: Bloodlines - unrelated to the first Day of the Dead remake.. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

An Unwanted Trilogy

he first ‘of the Dead’ trilogy films are widely accepted as the best zombie movies ever made. And now we come to the second half of the ‘of the dead’ series - it is not so well received. Appearing shortly after the zombie apocalypse floated into the mainstream, Romero heavily leaned into his cult stardom and started making changes to his winning formula. Join us for the aftermath.

Romero Origins

George A Romero, one of the godfathers of the modern horror pantheon, exploded on the scene with a little black and white film called Night of the Living Dead. He went on to make many films in the horror genre (and some not), but he is probably most well known for the ‘of the Dead’ series. Told in 6 parts, the first three of which we will be discussing today. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.

Anthologies

This week we are taking a journey through anthologies. We are getting ready for October with an episode of episodes. We are diving in with Creepshow, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, and Trick ‘r Treat Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to..

A Lot and a Monkey

Somehow it took 161 episodes to get to my personal first horror writer, Stephen King. Writers and directors were able to be part of the dollar baby program giving us some of the best and some of the worst horror movies. Tonight we see how much they can suck (aka vampires) a reboot and we play with our Monkey. Remember… We watch bad movies so you don’t have to.
