Snakes and Ladders

The professor and the pigeon flip roles in this stream, and talk about the drama of status inversion. Following a very serpentine route through high school drama in "The Breakfast Club," the lottery of being born rich or poor in "Trading Places," and the swashbuckling inversions of the Pirates world, the Ark sails onwards towards Shakespearean comedy to decipher the ultimate drama: taming the shrews who would ruin the fun of the gamers amongst us. Let's play snakes and ladders! —Streamed February 8, 2023.
