It is a sunny Saturday at the park. Maya has her bike. The sky is blue. Everything feels good.

Then she sees Amina.

Amina has a brand new bike. It is pink and purple with sparkly ribbons on the handlebars that float in the wind. It has a shiny silver bell that goes ding ding. And Amina looks so, so happy riding it in circles.

Maya looks down at her own bike. It is older. It has scratches. No ribbons. No bell.
