Maya has been invited to a birthday party. And not just any party.

Zara is turning a year older and her house has been turned into an underwater mermaid kingdom. There are dolphin balloons. Octopus balloons with eight wobbly legs. Walls covered in mermaids and colorful fish. A bouncy castle that looks like it came from the bottom of the ocean.

And then there is Hassan. Wearing merman trousers, a Spider-Man top, and a crab headband. Nobody is quite sure what he is supposed to be.

There are games to play, cake to eat, presents to open, and something wonderful to learn about a faraway place called Australia. But first, can everyone make it through Pin the Tail on the Mermaid without accidentally pinning it on Zara?
