It is a school day, and Maya is ready to learn.

She puts on her uniform, packs her bag, and walks into her classroom where her teacher greets her with a smile.

First, Maya joins her phonics lesson. She sits on the carpet and learns new sounds — “B says buh” and “G says guh.” She repeats the sounds with her classmates and imagines a big gorilla as she learns new words.

After lunch with her friends, Maya explores something even bigger.
