Note sull'episodio

What do you do with something that is holy and broken at the same time? Bekhorot 14 introduces a consecrated animal with a permanent blemish. It's too flawed for the altar but too holy for ordinary life, and it can't release itself. Only redemption can. Through a Messianic Jewish lens, we explore why the answer isn't self-improvement but pidyon, and how the unblemished one stands in the place of the blemished. Redeemed doesn't mean discarded. It means free to live, and free to give.
