The Test Case: Shilling v. United States, The Snowballing Transgender Military Ban

Military Appreciation Month is observed every May in the United States to honor the service of all members of the armed forces, past and present, and their families. In this Military Appreciation Month episode, we will join Lambda Legal’s Director of Non-binary and Transgender Project, Sasha Buchert, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Deputy Director of Litigation, Ami Patel, and author, actor, and activist, Dr. Elijah Nicholas to dive into Trump’s immediate attempt to erase trans people from the military in the federal case, Shilling v. Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people.
