Step outside and you might think someone fast-forwarded the calendar to May. We're sitting at 70 degrees at sunrise. And the thermometer barely dipped overnight. We're running a solid 61 degrees warmer than usual for early March. That's the kind of mild that makes you want to call in sick.

Down in Southeast Louisiana, you're dealing with some patchy fog, but that burns off by 7 A.M. Then it's mostly sunny. You'll hit 79 degrees with a nice southeast breeze around 7 miles an hour.
The Capital Region might hear a few rumbles of thunder. You've got a chance of showers and storms from 11 A.M. Through 5 P.M. — keep that umbrella handy. Highs top out near 81 degrees.
