Lorenzo's Journal
Journal...ism? W/ Kelly Vaughn
di Lorenzo Gomez
Welcome back! Today's episode is with Kelly Vaughn, senior editor at Arizona Highways and faculty associate at the Cronkite School. We dive into the heated topic of self-identity in journalism and "Can we cover the communities to which we belong?" We also touch on culturally competent reporting when working with communities that we do not belong to! Join us as we figure out if journalism is really just that... a journal!
Welcome to my first episode! I'm joined by accomplished journalist and humble millennial, Celeste Sepessy! We join forces to talk about getting started in journalism, imposter syndrome and how to balance being successful and really, really cool.
