This past Sunday we looked at what is needed for believers to bear lasting Kingdom fruit.  Our human nature leads us to action plans, checkboxes, self-righteousness and looking elsewhere, away from Jesus, for our strength.  But living a fruitful Christian life is not about our effort, it's about our identity...our membership in the body of Christ, the True Vine.  Grapes don't grow out of a branch that's laying on the ground, close to the vine.  The branch must be attached, with the vine's life coursing through it.  Similarly, true Kingdom fruit won't come from someone just because they spend time in church or know what's written in the Bible.  We must be grafted into the His body...we must draw our strength only from Him in order to bear fruit.  The  ...
